Derrick Djang Writes,

A thanksgiving and prayer session was held following Dr. Bawumia unrelenting victory in the NPP's recent presidential race at the UPSA auditorium.

Several key figures were in attendance including his running mate for the 2024 general election, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP Minority Leader Afenyo Martin  and many others.

The flagbearer for the 2028 general election, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumai gave thanks to the Almighty God for a peaceful and incident-free election acknowledging Him(God) as the drive behind their election.

Dr. bawumia state that the service is a moment for reflection, prayer, commitment to build a strong and firm nation rather than the celebration of personal ambition.

He continued his sermon of peace by calling his party members to forgive one another for any unpalatable things that may have occur during the  election and also acknowledge the ongoing efforts towards healing within the party.

Bawumia emphasize that the party's victory in the 2028 election can only be earned through discipline, sacrifice, and hard work, constituency by constituency, and household by household.

He announces the upcoming "thank you tour" to properly acknowledge party members hard work and comportment displayed nationwide during the election.

He respectfully appeals to the current government to desist from retribution, intimidation, or political score-settling, urging them to heal the nation, lower temperature, and ensure all Ghanaians feels safe and valued regardless of their vote.

Dr. Bawumia pledges his full commitment to serving Ghana with integrity,  courage, and love, working alongside every committed member within the political cycle of the NPP party.
